Responsibilities: As a Senior Systems Administrator with Sab*** you will be designing, deploying, and sustaining modernized Software Development Environments (SDE) within the current Cyber framework. This is a full time, in person role located at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Qualifications

  • anti-virus protection, and implementing system security.
  • Maintain backup plans and rotation cycles.
  • Producing documentation that details and describes the systems, procedures, events, and any associated processes.
  • Building new infrastructure servers.
  • Maintaining, tuning, and patching systems for optimum performance and security.
  • Migrating or upgrading systems, where applicable.
  • Participating in weekly routine maintenance tasks.
  • Responding to system failures promptly to bring applications back online.
  • Conducting various quarterly and annual Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and scans on systems in labs
  • 3-7 years of practical experience executing tasks such as:
  • Configuring hardware (e.g., servers and switches)
  • Upgrading and repairing computer systems (primarily Linux based operating systems)

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Systems Administrator with Sab*** you will be designing, deploying, and sustaining modernized Software Development Environments (SDE) within the current Cyber framework.
  • This is a full time, in person role located at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Patuxent River, Maryland.
  • The position involves system administration and cyber security compliance tasking for the management of computer systems and networks, including:
  • Operating system maintenance
  • Cyber security updates and scans
  • Software license management
  • System upgrades (could be hardware or software)
  • Specific
  • may include, but are not limited to:
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems in classified and controlled unclassified environments
  • Troubleshoot systems primarily in a Linux environment and secondarily in a Windows environment.
  • Install, configure, and manage the Linux operating systems and related tool sets supporting the software engineers in various PMA-264 labs.
