• This is a senior individual-contributor role for an engineer who can establish technical direction, solve ambiguous problems, raise engineering standards, and help distributed teams deliver successfully.
• WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Establish the technical direction and architecture for complex applications and platform capabilities.
• Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to evaluate implementation options, clarify tradeoffs, and define practical delivery plans.
• Lead projects through the complete software development lifecycle, from discovery and system design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and build highly available healthcare and payment applications using Go, TypeScript, React, and AWS services.
• Break large, ambiguous initiatives into well-defined technical workstreams that distributed engineering teams can execute.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, failure modes, and operational
• before implementation begins.
• Review system designs and code to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable, testable, and cost-effective.
• Establish and reinforce engineering practices related to automated testing, observability, idempotency, performance, security, and fault tolerance.
