• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• PREFERRED
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

• The Millibyte team builds a framework and tooling that allows teams across the Devices org to build highly performant native services that work across all Amazon device platforms, not just Fire TV.
• You'll be responsible for supporting broad initiatives that support our ability to launch new device hardware and software.
• You'll help create our core software written in the ground breaking Rust programming language, consistently ranked the most admired programming language year-over-year on StackOverflow.
• Our customers are primarily the dozens of internal teams building the audio, video, voice, advertising, recommendations, network, and many other services needed to make Fire TV work.
