Job summary

In joining our team as a specialist renal pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to become an expert in renal pharmacy providing exceptional care to a high acuity, highly complex patient cohort. This role has been designed to provide additional pharmacy input into our dialysis and renal outpatient population, as well as to lead on some substantial medication cost saving projects.

Responsibilities

  • In joining our team as a specialist renal pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to become an expert in renal pharmacy providing exceptional care to a high acuity, highly complex patient cohort.
  • Of The Job
  • To operate as a specialist pharmacist in renal across the trust, supporting safe and effective use of medicines to improve patient safety
  • To lead on medication cost-savings projects identified within the renal care group
  • To lead on the service delivered to our haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis population
  • To effectively manage and supervise pharmacists working within the renal pharmacy team
  • To deputise for the lead pharmacist for renal at pharmacy and care group level when required
