Qualifications

  • Lutron is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to serve as a people leader and organizational anchor for our growing Austin, TX software team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science or Cybersecurity
  • Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA for all degrees earned
  • 10+ years of experience post academics
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and retaining high-performing engineering teams
  • The ideal candidate would have:
  • Familiarity in one or more of the following areas:
  • Embedded systems: Embedded Linux using C++ or Go
  • Mobile applications: Kotlin (Android) or Swift (iOS)
  • Desktop applications: C# and WPF
  • Cloud services: AWS (IoT, messaging, distributed service architectures)

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will lead and support teams of talented software engineers working across embedded, mobile, cloud, and web
  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, collaboration, and learning
  • Partner with senior engineering and product leadership to support organizational growth in Austin
