In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in C++, gRPC, publish/subscribe (pub/sub) design patterns, AMQP or other broker‑based messaging protocols, and the Linux Operating System. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. - Strong background in Java development, object oriented design, design patterns - Experience in FOSS storage solutions, and deployment or optimization of software defined storage solutions (to include technologies like Rook CEPH, Mayastor, Longhorn, NetApp Trident) - Familiarity with Linux OS, command line, and shell scripting - Secret Clearance eligibility, Interim Secret required to start. Desired Skills: - Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm Charts - Experience with Object Broker / PubSub communication patterns such as CORBA and gRPC - Familiarity with software pipeline automation tools like Gradle - Familiarity with configuration technologies like JSON and YAML - Experience with Gitlab Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Loc*** facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules:Loc*** supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
