What We’re Doing Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies. The Work The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a software engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include: • Design and develop new Java applications; Maintain existing Java applications • Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines • Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution • Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications • Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs • Interface with other system support groups • Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews Why Join Us • Excellent benefits and amenities • Ongoing career development and support • Rewards and recognition for your hard work • Medical and dental coverage • 401k retirement savings plan • Paid time off for work/life balance • Mentorship opportunities Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years of professional experience. • Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position. • Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment. • Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment. • Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.). • Demonstrated experience utilizing standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams to create software products. • Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting. Desired Skills: Experience in the following: • Missile Defense Domain experience • Design and development of real-time Java applications. • Developing new capabilities into a legacy software system. • Development of complex mathematical algorithms from design documents. • SW analysis against performance requirements. • Resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc. • Maven or Gradle. • Automated unit testing frameworks. Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Loc*** facility. Work Schedules:Loc*** supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
