MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure. The Software Engineer Principal must have: Education: Bachelor of Science Experience: 8+ years of related experience Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Position Required Skills Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes Recent software development experience using Rust and Python Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI Experience with Git Source Control System Position Desired Skills Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) Experience with Elasticsearch GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
