MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure. The Software Engineer Principal must have: Education: Bachelor of Science Experience: 8+ years of related experience Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Position Required Skills  Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools  Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes  Recent software development experience using Rust and Python  Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools  Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog  Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka  Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible  Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI  Experience with Git Source Control System Position Desired Skills  Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)  Experience with Elasticsearch GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
