Responsibilities

• PXTCS is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team responsible for taking its most important ML and AI models from research into reliable, large-scale production systems.
• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of production services that host and serve PXTCS's ML/AI models, ensuring they are scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Set and maintain engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, and operational readiness reviews; provide hands-on technical guidance when the team hits hard problems.
• Drive operational excellence for live production systems, including monitoring, alerting, on-call practices, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Communicate technical strategy, tradeoffs, risks, and status clearly to both technical teams and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with TPMs, product managers, and business stakeholders across PXT to prioritize roadmap investments against business impact.
