Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- PREFERRED
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers building large-scale data pipelines that process billing data for all of AWS
- Represent your team directly with AWS's largest customers during escalations and feature discussions
- Drive improvements to data freshness, accuracy, and delivery speed — problems where hours matter and minutes are the goal
- Partner with Product Management to define the next generation of cost visibility experiences
- Own operational excellence for systems that customers depend on for financial decisions every day
- Collaborate across AWS Billing, Cost Management, and service teams to ensure consistency in what customers see
- By midday, you're on a call with an enterprise customer's finance team explaining how their cost allocation tags flow through the billing report
- In the afternoon, you're working with your engineers on a technical approach to cut report delivery time, then syncing with a partner team on an upstream schema change
- Some days you're deep in operational response — tracing a data freshness delay across distributed systems and coordinating the fix across teams
- You balance building for the long term with responding to immediate customer needs, and no two days look the same
