A centerpiece of this work is MetricsEngine, a greenfield platform we are building from the ground up to become the single source of truth for financial metric computation across WWASFT.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications,
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• As a Software Development Engineer on the WW Stores FinTech team, you will design and build core components of our next-generation data infrastructure systems.
• You will own the design and delivery of key platform components end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions that shape how the system scales, and write high-quality code that sets the standard for the team.
• Build the integration layer between MetricsEngine and AI agent frameworks, enabling intelligent systems to discover, interpret, and compute financial metrics programmatically using governed definitions.
• Design and implement scalable data infrastructure components, applying architectural patterns that optimize performance, security, and reliability across the data lifecycle from ingestion to reporting.
• Contribute to technical direction and team standards.
• Implement data access frameworks and storage patterns.
• Participate in design reviews and champion engineering best practices that elevate code quality and data integrity.
• Raise the bar for the team through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Grow your expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and system design while helping onboard and support fellow engineers.
