• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• PREFERRED
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• As an SDE 1 on the DEX Speed Tech team, you'll develop customer-facing features for sub-same day (SSD) and ultra-fast delivery services.
• You'll work in a dynamic environment where your code directly impacts customer experience and delivery operations.
• In this role, you will:
• 1) Design and implement scalable software solutions for Speed shopping experience
• 2) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-facing features
• 3) Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage
• 4) Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• 5) Debug production issues and implement improvements
• 6) Contribute to team's technical documentation

• You will be working in a fast-paced environment, on a team of smart software engineers, to design and build the right technical solutions to meet the needs of the business.
• You will have direct ownership over the design of new components aimed at improving the platform's extensibility, scalability, availability, and latency.
