Job summary
The Sleep Specialist Nurse will provide specialist nursing care, education, and advice to patients with sleep disorders, working autonomously and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- First-level registration with NMC
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Computer literate
- Ability to work autonomously
- Relevant respiratory experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up new patients on Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP).
- Plan and organise setting up new patients on non-invasive ventilation.
- Handle complex and sensitive clinical queries from CPAP and NIV users.
- Provide home sleep studies equipment and oximetry on an outpatient basis.
