Site Reliability Technical Lead

Arbor Education is seeking a Site Reliability Technical Lead to enhance system design and ensure product robustness, scalability, and security. The role involves mentoring engineers, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align technical direction with product strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
• Extensive expertise with AWS and distributed cloud architectures
• Proven experience operating platforms serving a high volume of requests
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and configuration management tools
• Strong skills in Python, Go, or a similar language
• Deep experience with monitoring and observability platforms
• Expert understanding of distributed systems and microservices
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Practical experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring and supporting the growth of fellow engineers

Responsibilities

• Define and guide system architecture
• Champion accountability from design through to production
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when issues occur
• Drive automation initiatives across the team
• Uphold coding standards and promote automated testing
• Lead technical estimation and feasibility assessments
• Mentor and coach engineers
• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Managers
