Senior Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure

Job summary

Zoo*** builds and operates a fleet of purpose-built robotaxis, and every vehicle must prove its build integrity before it can carry riders. The HWSI team builds the platform that authors, schedules, and executes Build Integrity Tests (BIT) across the manufacturing line and the fleet, and turns the results into the data that engineers and operators rely on every day.

Qualifications

• Solid software-engineering and distributed-systems fundamentals - systematic debugging across services, networking (HTTP, TCP/IP, container networking), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience as a technical lead or architect - owning a system end to end, setting direction, and reviewing/mentoring other engineers' work.
• Experience with Bazel (or another large-monorepo build system with hermetic/reproducible builds).
• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS/Kubernetes (EKS, Helm, ArgoCD) and with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Background in manufacturing, hardware, or vehicle test systems (CAN/DoIP, Automotive Ethernet, HIL) and working with cross-functional production teams.
• Base Salary Range
• There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoo*** Stock Appreciation Rights.
• A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package.
• The listed range applies only to the base salary.
• Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.
• Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
• The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoo*** is considering for this position.
