  • Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive software development experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality embedded solutions
  • Expertise in C and modern C++ programming for embedded systems
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and microcontrollers – including bootstrapping SoCs, device trees, device drivers, and firmware image build systems (e.g.

Responsibilities

  • You will be joining the RAIN RFID Reader Platform team where you will get to work on Firmware for ARM 64/32 bit Processors that will be used in our future RFID Reader models.
  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software on ARM 64/32 bit processors and microcontrollers – from early bootloaders to modern C/C++ Linux applications.
  • Own key aspects of new hardware platform bring-up, including driver development, peripheral integration, and board-level diagnostics.
  • Contribute to architecture and design reviews, ensuring code quality and software scalability.
  • Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power consumption in resource-constrained environments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across embedded systems.
  • Write and maintain clear, detailed documentation for software architecture, design, and code.
  • Conduct unit testing and ensure embedded systems meet functional and performance
