• While we have established a robust foundation using Bazel in a monorepo along with a remote build farm and cache, our goal is to elevate this into a world-class development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, or related field and 8+ years of experience
• Minimum of 4 years of expertise with Bazel (or similar systems like Buck or Pants)
• Linux experience
• Familiarity with maintaining large polyglot code bases
• Comfortable writing Python to integrate
• C++ experience
• Experience contributing to open source bazel
• There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoo*** Stock Appreciation Rights.
• A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package.
• The listed range applies only to the base salary.
• Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.

Responsibilities

• You'll join the team that owns the build infrastructure making that possible: maintaining and evolving our Bazel-based build system in a large, multi-language monorepo used by hundreds of engineers.
• As a key contributor, you will take ownership of the build ecosystem supporting our rapidly expanding, safety-critical autonomous vehicle software.
