• HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
• As a Senior Orthopaedic Veterinary Nurse, you will set the standard for excellence within the Orthopaedic Nursing Department, promoting high-quality patient care and clinical best practice.
• You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to support excellent patient and client care.
• You'll also act as a source of guidance for the nursing team and contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards, workflows and patient outcomes.
• Working Pattern
• 40 hours per week
• 4 days per week working 9.25-hour shifts plus a 30-minute unpaid break
• 1:6 weekends working 2 x 9-hour shifts plus an unpaid 30-minute break
• Bank holiday cover on a rota (normally 2 shifts a year)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the workflow coordinator across procedure areas, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal patient flow
• Lead by example, maintaining high standards of nursing care and operational efficiency
• Support the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) in the day-to-day leadership and organisation of the nursing team
• Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and fostering a positive learning culture
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care, team performance, and operational effectiveness
