- HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- As a Senior Orthopaedic Veterinary Nurse, you will set the standard for excellence within the Orthopaedic Nursing Department, promoting high-quality patient care and clinical best practice.
- You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to support excellent patient and client care.
- You'll also act as a source of guidance for the nursing team and contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards, workflows and patient outcomes.
- Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- 4 days per week working 9.25-hour shifts plus a 30-minute unpaid break
- 1:6 weekends working 2 x 9-hour shifts plus an unpaid 30-minute break
- Bank holiday cover on a rota (normally 2 shifts a year)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the workflow coordinator across procedure areas, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal patient flow
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards of nursing care and operational efficiency
- Support the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) in the day-to-day leadership and organisation of the nursing team
- Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and fostering a positive learning culture
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care, team performance, and operational effectiveness
