Senior Java Software Engineer Location: Remote (U. S.) / Travel to MD for Client/Internal Meetings few times a year Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience (Negotiable to an Extent - possibility of 1099) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and other company-sponsored benefits.

Qualifications
- Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience (Negotiable to an Extent - possibility of 1099)
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with a focus on enterprise application development.
- Strong expertise in Java development with experience using Kotlin and exposure to Scala.
- Extensive experience developing Java-based web services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized application development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, functional programming concepts, and software design patterns.
- Working knowledge of the Scala ecosystem, including commonly used frameworks and libraries.
- Strong SQL development
- Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Amazon EMR (Spark) and OpenSearch administration, security, and scalability
- Apache Spark, including:
- Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDDs)
