ABOUT THE ROLE FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Java Developer to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking Senior Java Developer who will be responsible for developing, operating, and enhancing software solutions that align with user
• Develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable code following a test-driven development (TDD) approach
• Build scalable, reusable components and promote code reusability across projects
• Work closely with cross-functional development teams to deliver solutions
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve service issues while ensuring infrastructure stability
• Adhere to contemporary engineering best practices and standards
• Leverage prototyping techniques and
• on a 24/7 basis
• ABOUT YOU
• 5+ years’ experience using Java (Spring Boot) alongside AWS services including ECR, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and Apigee
• Hands-on capability with AngularJS, Jenkins, Karate, Node.js (v10), Groovy, Bash scripting, and TypeScript
• Working knowledge of testing and BDD frameworks such as Gherkin, Cypress, and Jest
