Senior Java Developer About the role As a Senior Java Developer , you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications and microservices that power critical Banking, Financial Services, and enterprise technology platforms. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, business analysts, product owners, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and client stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and related technologies. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements, create technical designs, and deliver scalable software solutions. Develop and enhance microservices frameworks while ensuring application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security. Build automated unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito and actively participate in code reviews and application refactoring initiatives. Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, production releases, troubleshooting, and defect resolution across development, QA, UAT, and production environments. What you need to have to be considered Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and RESTful API development. Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting Microservices-based applications. Strong understanding of Java 8 features including Lambda Expressions, Streams, Functional Interfaces, Collections, and Multithreading. Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and SQL development. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience creating automated unit tests using JUnit and Mockito. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development best practices. Experience supporting applications across development, QA, UAT, and production environments. Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or Investment Banking domains. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. These will help you stand out Experience with Angular and modern front-end development. Experience working with Kafka or event-driven architectures. Experience building cloud-native and containerized applications. Knowledge of distributed systems and application modernization initiatives. Experience supporting high-volume payment processing platforms. Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical leadership activities. Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until July 20, 2026 . The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cog***’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cog***’s applicable plans.
