Senior Electronics Engineer (Digital Focus)

Job summary

<h3><strong>Introduction</strong></h3> <p>We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer with a digital focus to join our world class multidisciplinary team to help solve complex technical challenges across a broad range of industries.

Qualifications

• are:</p>
• li>Strong academic background with an electronics-related undergraduate degree</li>
• li>Solid understanding of the fundamentals of electronic circuit design</li>
• li>Ability to find and down-select high-performance devices, such as application processors, FPGAs and SoCs to fulfil system
• such as data throughput and power consumption</li>
• li>Familiarity with embedded interconnects such as DDR4, QSPI, PCIe, JESD204</li>
• li>Experience of low-noise DC switched-mode power-supply (SMPS) design</li>
• li>Design-for, test and debugging of EMC</li>
• li>Experience of schematic entry and layout using electronic computer-aided design (ECAD)

Responsibilities

• p>You will initially establish yourself as a safe pair of hands delivering electronics designs.
• While some of your work will involve general-purpose electronics design, you will also be a key specialist for digital design projects.</p>
• and/or focus more on supporting the development of sales opportunities.</p>

• li>Multiple high-performance custom electronics developments for Defence and Security applications</li>
• li><a href="https://www.cambridgeconsultants.com/project/next-generation-explosive-ordnance-disposal-for-the-british-army/">Next-generation Explosive Ordnance Disposal for the British Army</a></li>
• p>Every project we do is different – we are always innovating rather than iterating, so each new project will be a brand-new challenge.</p>
• p>You will also have access to our extensive in-house facilities.
• Should you attend a face-to-face interview, we’ll provide a tour of our labs which support hardware development engineering during your visit.
• These include: </p>
• li>Prototype PCB manufacturing facilities, including SMT pick-and-place, vapour-phase reflow and x-ray inspection</li>
