Senior Devops Engineer

Job summary

ABOUT THE ROLE FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Devops Engineer to work for our client within the Banking sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Qualifications

• Collaborating with various stakeholders , Quartz DevOps and Technology Infrastructure on weekday and weekend activities
• Improving tooling, monitoring and automation to support production stability and reduce manual operational effort
• Acting as a regional point of contact as the SFRC / Risk Horizontal capability expands globally
• ABOUT YOU
• Experience in Python or equivalent programming languages, with ability to build and support automation, tooling and operational improvements
• Practical experience in software development, testing, deployment and production support using agile development methodologies
• Understanding of large-scale application plants, including capacity management, resiliency, failover and operational stability
• Ability to compartmentalise complex problems and propose practical, controlled solutions for production environments
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an application DevOps engineer responsible for developing and supporting regulatory risk solutions across fixed income, currencies, commodities and equities.
• Providing DevOps expertise and leadership for effective management of application infrastructure and large risk plants
• Supporting end-of-day and on-demand risk generation, with a focus on stability, resiliency and operational control
• Planning and executing failovers in line with application and infrastructure
