Qualifications

  • This is an entry-level engineering position intended for early-career physicists and engineers who want hands-on experience translating quantitative research methods into working software, data pipelines, and prototype
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering (mechanical, biomedical, electrical, or related discipline), or another closely related quantitative field
  • Demonstrated programming experience in Python and/or MATLAB, gained through coursework, research, or independent projects
  • Strong foundation in quantitative and analytical methods (e.g., linear algebra, numerical methods, statistics)
  • Prior research, internship, or laboratory experience involving data analysis, instrumentation, computational modeling, or scientific software
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Exposure to medical imaging data, DICOM, or image segmentation

  • Support the development, testing, and maintenance of research software pipelines for medical image processing, including segmentation, registration, and quantitative analysis
  • Assist senior engineers and researchers in translating research prototypes and analysis scripts into more robust, reproducible code
  • Write and maintain scripts in Python, C++, Java, or other established deployable software architectures to process, analyze, and visualize imaging and biomechanical data
