Project Leader Engineer

Job summary

Are you a technically strong engineering leader with the authority and commercial awareness to own complex engineering packages from concept through delivery? Tasks Our client is looking for a Project Lead Engineer who takes full ownership of major engineering packages within the construction of world-class luxury superyachts. This is not a coordination role.

Qualifications

• Ensure engineering deliverables meet project milestones, quality standards, and budget targets.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, calculations, and 3D models.
• Manage technical interfaces between engineering, production, suppliers, subcontractors, and classification societies.
• Monitor package progress, risks, costs, and resource allocation.
• Drive technical decision-making and implement effective solutions to project challenges.
• Manage scope changes and safeguard project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure engineering solutions are practical, manufacturable, and compliant with applicable regulations.
• Support commissioning activities and sea trial preparations when required.
• BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or yacht building.

• You will act as the technical and commercial owner of your package, driving scope definition, engineering execution, budget control, planning, risk management, and successful delivery.
