Qualifications
- The Principal Software Engineer provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s).
- Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
- The Principal Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.
- Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes.
- Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues.
- Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies.
- Day-to-Day Activities
- Serve as a hands-on software engineering advisor to IT executives
- Advise SVP and executive technology leaders on engineering strategy, platform health, delivery risks, architectural decisions, and modernization opportunities.
- Translate complex software engineering issues into clear business, risk, funding, and execution recommendations.
- Act as a player by actively building and improving software
- Personally contribute to critical engineering work by designing, coding, testing, reviewing, and deploying capabilities across enterprise platforms, integration layers, and production systems.
