Qualifications
- Education & Experience Required
- BS with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Associates degree considered with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical
- electrical safety and insulation coordination, and thermal management and cooling systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis and failure investigation of power electronic systems, and familiarity with reliability engineering

Responsibilities
- Design and validate power electronics hardware for next-generation MPCS products, including Gate Driver Boards (GDB), Power Boards, and protection circuits.
- Design and debug gate drive circuits for IGBT and SiC power modules, including gate drive optimization, protection circuits, desaturation protection, and active clamping.
- Review schematics, simulations, and PCB layouts for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Analyze switching waveforms, gate signals, current sharing, voltage overshoot, and protection responses.
- Investigate and perform root-cause analysis of inverter, gate drive, and power module failures.
- Develop and execute validation plans, test procedures, and engineering reports.
- Support product releases by identifying risks, validating corrective actions, and improving design quality.
- Support prototype builds and production issue resolution through technical collaboration with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations to improve product reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with system, controls, validation, and manufacturing engineers to resolve technical issues and meet project milestones.
