Job Description Operations Applications & Platform Engineer Department: Technical Reports to: Group Technical Director Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00–17:30 with planned out-of-hours maintenance and on-call support. Role Overview The Applications & Platform Engineer is responsible for the management, support and continual improvement of the operational applications and platforms that power services.

Responsibilities

• The Applications & Platform Engineer is responsible for the management, support and continual improvement of the operational applications and platforms that power services.
• Own operations and administration of a portfolio of operational applications and management platforms.
• Support application deployments, upgrades, migrations and platform lifecycle management.
• Configure, maintain and optimise business-critical systems.
• Support the integration of applications using APIs, automation and third-party services.
• Administer monitoring, alerting and reporting platforms to improve operational visibility.
• Manage application performance, availability and operational resilience.
• Coordinate maintenance, patching, licensing and vendor support.
• Support business system improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
• Produce technical documentation, support procedures and platform standards.
• Assist with automation of operational workflows and repetitive administrative tasks.
• Work alongside Engineering and Infrastructure teams to ensure applications are delivered on resilient, secure platforms.
