DESCRIPTION The Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a team of software engineers building applications and infrastructure that support our quantum device fabrication facility. You will own the software stack powering our Manufacturing Execution System, ML-driven inspection systems, and LLM-powered research tools.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- PREFERRED
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

- Drive ML-powered initiatives including automated optical inspection systems that detect and classify defects on wafers
- Lead LLM integration projects enabling scientists to query, visualize, and analyze fabrication data through natural language interfaces and autonomous agents
