Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform prolonged periods of focused work at a computer workstation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by phone, video conference, and in writing.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 30%) to project sites, field locations, and company or client offices.
  • When visiting project or field sites, must be able to work outdoors and walk local field terrain in day/night and local climate conditions.
  • When on a job site, must wear personal protective equipment and work safely in and around vehicle traffic zones.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds periodically (e.g., field sensors, laptops, and related equipment).
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native backend and data engineering (e.g., Python and PostgreSQL), with strong API design and distributed-systems fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and operate secure, reliable systems - authentication/authorization, encryption, auditability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Proven, fluent use of AI coding agents to accelerate real production work, with sound judgment in reviewing, directing, and verifying AI-generated output.
  • Experience owning CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and production operations/on-call.
  • Real experience using AI coding
