Job Description MAN*** seeks a motivated, collaborative, and eager-to-learn Junior Software Engineer to begin their career with our team at Cape Canaveral, Florida. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to apply their academic knowledge and grow into a skilled software professional while contributing to a mission of national importance.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java).
- Familiarity with web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire (company sponsored).
- Preferred
- Academic or internship experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., VueJS, Angular).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of database concepts (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Responsibilities
- As a member of our software development team, you will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing and deployment.
- You will work on complex projects that involve integrating multiple systems, giving you hands-on experience with modern web development strategies and techniques.

- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software web applications that support the 5th Space Launch Squadron.
- Work alongside senior engineers to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for new and existing applications.
- Participate in software requirement reviews, design sessions, and agile development ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
- Assist in testing and debugging applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
