Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java).
• Familiarity with web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire (company sponsored).
• Preferred
• Academic or internship experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., VueJS, Angular).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of database concepts (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with C#, the .

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, and cloud-hosted applications.

Responsibilities

• As a member of our software development team, you will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing and deployment.
• You will work on complex projects that involve integrating multiple systems, giving you hands-on experience with modern web development strategies and techniques.

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software web applications that support the 5th Space Launch Squadron.
• Work alongside senior engineers to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for new and existing applications.
• Participate in software requirement reviews, design sessions, and agile development ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
• Assist in testing and debugging applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Help create user documentation and provide support to end-users.
• Embrace collaborative work, including pair programming, to solve complex problems and learn best practices.
