Qualifications

• AIS is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support a federal customer in Washington, DC.
• including Section 508 standards where applicable.
• Support application deployments and operational activities within AWS-hosted environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation efforts supporting software delivery.
• Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including front-end application development.
• 5+ years of experience developing modern web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• 3+ years of experience working with Node.js for development tooling, application services, or front-end build processes.
• Strong experience building user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design frameworks, and modern browser
• Experience developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build modular, reusable, and maintainable UI components following modern front-end engineering standards and best practices.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend .
• NET services utilizing REST APIs, JSON, and XML data exchanges.
• Implement client-side state management and optimize application performance for enterprise-scale solutions.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and design concepts into functional user interfaces.
• Partner with backend engineers and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to coding standards, quality assurance, and software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects, performance issues, and browser compatibility concerns.
• Maintain source code repositories using Git and GitLab, following branching strategies and merge request workflows.
