Qualifications
- Strong candidates bring hands-on proficiency in SQL, a general-purpose programming language (Python preferred), and working knowledge of cloud infrastructure — including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.
- S.) in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of equivalent experience can substitute for education.
- Demonstrated programming experience with SQL (ANSI-SQL)
- Proven demonstration of exemplary ability to complete the functions of a Data Engineer I or similar position
- Professional experience working in cloud data ecosystems, preferably Azure
- Data warehouse experience, including ER modeling and multi-dimensional modeling
- ETL, Extract-Load-Transform (ELT), and/or data pipeline development experience
- Experience with DevOps principles and platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.).
- Experience with migrating data from on-premise to cloud
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum work environment
