Job summary
Overview: We are seeking a full-time Aviation Test Hardware Design Engineer 2 at Gar***'s U. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing moderately complex test hardware to facilitate factory testing of Gar*** products under supervision of management and/or a mentor.
Qualifications
- and procedures that will be used to confirm that newly produced Gar*** products meet minimum performance standards
- Design, develop and document test hardware in accordance with Gar***’s hardware development methodology
- Assist production associates in introducing new test hardware/equipment to production
- Perform maintenance and support activities for test hardware already in use in accordance with Gar***’s hardware change management process
- Collaborate with factory, test software engineers, and design engineers to fix factory test hardware problems quickly and effectively
- Lead small projects and/or sub-projects as part of a greater project and may perform as a technical leader who guides technical direction of projects
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Must possess knowledge and/or experience with test equipment and software
- Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
- Knowledge and/or experience with Gar***’s hardware development and production methodologies is desirable
