Job Summary As an Associate Software Engineer, Retail POS you will assist in the development, writing and testing of application software from specifications for new and modified Retail and POS systems. Job Description KEY COMPETENCIES: - BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF POINT OF SALE (POS) CONCEPTS OR RETAIL EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.

Qualifications

• BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF POINT OF SALE (POS) CONCEPTS OR RETAIL EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
• EXPERIENCE OR COURSEWORK IN JAVA DEVELOPMENT; EXPOSURE TO JAVA SWING IS A PLUS.
• KNOWLEDGE OF JAVASCRIPT OR PYTHON IS BENEFICIAL.

Responsibilities

• As an Associate Software Engineer, Retail POS you will assist in the development, writing and testing of application software from specifications for new and modified Retail and POS systems.
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of assigned application components under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming activities.
• Have effective written and verbal communication
