Qualifications

  • Ducks Hill Farm is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Poultry Manager to join our growing free-range egg business and diversified family farm on the outskirts of London.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring stock levels and replenishing the farm vending machine
  • Egg collection, grading, sorting, and quality control
  • Daily management and monitoring of laying hen and poultry flocks
  • Identifying and responding to health, welfare, and performance issues within flocks
  • Carrying out routine salmonella testing
  • Managing poultry housing, including feeding, bedding, and seasonal movements
  • Assisting with the relocation and cleaning of mobile poultry houses
  • Delivering eggs and produce to local customers
  • Maintaining accurate production and performance records
  • Supervising, training, and supporting part-time poultry staff
  • Assisting with farm maintenance and general husbandry tasks
  • Supporting the farm's social media and customer engagement activities
