Description: Vec*** is seeking an AI Engineer to build the technical foundation for AI across the organization. The AI Engineer partners with Engineering and business teams to design, build, and maintain the internal AI tools, integrations, and workflows that enable teams across Vec*** to work more effectively.

Qualifications
- Track model performance, API costs, and usage patterns; surface optimization opportunities to leadership
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred but not required, equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
- 1-5 years of software engineering experience, with meaningful exposure to AI/ML tooling, LLM APIs, or AI-assisted development workflows
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python preferred) and comfort working across the stack when needed
- Direct experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) including prompt engineering, tool use/function calling, and multi-turn conversation design
- Strong systems thinking, naturally considers integration points, failure modes, and scalability when designing solutions
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain architectural decisions to both engineers and non-engineers
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally, with a genuine interest in enabling others, not just building for yourself
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and iterating quickly in a fast-moving AI landscape
